On July 6, 2010 HVCP provided and orientation training to users at Orange County BOCES. Users learned how to create logins, join professional groups, access materials, and participate in the community. On May 25, 2010 Bonnie Goonen and Susan Pittman offer ab introduction to Managed Enrollment.
We all want our programs to be communities of adults making meaningful strides toward educational goals, but sometimes our openness to new students can sidetrack even the most focused teachers and students. Open-entry/open-exit classrooms have been a defining feature of adult education. However, current research weighs in strongly for managed enrollment. Managed enrollment vs. open enrollment – what works best?
This webinar provided participants with models from different types of programs that have implemented managed enrollment systems, as well as steps that can be taken to shift from open enrollment to managed schedules.

On March 10, 2010 a 3-hour workshop was held for adult program managers, literacy coordinators and data managers of AEWD funded programs in the Hudson Valley Catskill region.
