NYS Adult Education Student Statistics for HVCP Region FY'11

NEW YORK STATE ADULT EDUCATION STUDENT STATISTICS

The following tables and charts show data reported by adult education providers in the Hudson Valley region of New York State for the fiscal year 2011, which spans the period between July 1, 2010 and June 30th, 2011.
All students reported here fulfill the National Reporting System (NRS) guidelines for reporting, namely, they have completed 12 hours of instruction and have been post tested using one of the State Education Department approved assessment instruments.

In FY 2011, Hudson Valley Adult Education programs served 14,329 students.

About HVCP

The Hudson Valley/Catskill Partnership: Regional Adult Education Network is funded by New York State Education Department, Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES). HVCP:RAEN provides technical assistance and professional development to NYSED/ACCES funded adult literacy and career programs in seven counties: Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.

HVCP:RAEN is a community of adult educators striving to improve the life opportunities of adults and their families by:

  1. providing literacy, Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary Education, and English language instruction to adults who seek to continue their education
  2. preparing adults to obtain adult secondary education certification
  3. preparing adults to enter and complete post-secondary education or career training
